In line with its commitment to Qatarization policy, Qatar Steel participated in the Career Open Day, organized by College of the North Atlantic- Qatar, for companies and organizations from public and private sectors.
The aim of the event was to familiarize Qatari graduates with the job opportunities available and the academic qualifications required, as well as to brief them about the training programs provided. A team from HR and Training & Development Departments met the students and responded to their questions and queries.
Mr. Yousef Abdullah Al-Mansouri, Learning & Development Manager said that Qatar Steel’s participation in the career open day was basically to attract outstanding and ambitious fresh Qatari graduates, and encourage them to work in the company’s various departments and sections.
“Our participation also came as part of our commitment with the strategic Qatarization policy, that complies with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.”, Mr. Al-Mansouri added.
In this context, our HR Dept is constantly and persistently doing its utmost with a view to raise the percentage of Qatari manpower, through setting on-going plans to achieve this target, and it provides promising job opportunities to young Qataris and grants them attractive job benefits, which would guarantee their successful career.
Qatar Steel is also taking different initiatives to attract Qataris of different specialties, urge them to work in the steel industry, through conducting various activities and functions, such as participating in annual career fairs and Qatar Steel’s own career days, and other events as well.
