As part of its marketing strategy to enhance its cooperation ties with its local and regional accredited traders, Qatar Steel hosted its Traders’ 10th Annual Gathering.

An official ceremony was held at St. Regis Hotel –Qatar, in honor of all Qatar Steel’s traders, and in recognition and appreciation of their devoted efforts. The ceremony was attended by a large number of traders and distributers, both locally and regionally. Qatar Steel officials, on top of them were Mr. Ali Bin Hasan Al-Muraikhi, Director General Manager of Qatar Steel, division and department managers, senior employees, in addition to other dignitaries and high ranking officials.

In his inaugural address, Mr. Al-Muraikhi expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all the traders for taking time off their busy schedules to engage in fruitful interactions and meetings with Qatar Steel officials. He expressed his delight that this year’s gathering coincides with the 35th anniversary of Qatar Steel’s commencement of commercial production.

“Since its inception in 1974, Qatar Steel Company has taken quantum leaps and got several achievements and it constantly strives to achieve sustainable development in all fields; economic, human resources, social and environment, in compliance with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.”, Al-Muraikhi said.

Mr. Al-Muraikhi added that Qatar Steel has achieved outstanding growth, as one of leading steel companies in the Arabian Gulf, and it has succeeded to establish itself in the local and Gulf markets, due its high quality steel products, and outstanding customer services. Thanks first to Allah Almighty, and then to our devoted manpower, who represent the basic pillar of achieving Qatar Steel’s vision and mission, and they play a vital role in our march towards success.

Al-Muraikhi concluded that 2012 was a successful and ideal year for Qatar Steel, in terms of operational performance and revenues.

Mr. Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al-Ansari, Commercial Division Managers addressed the traders and distributers, commending them for being credible ambassadors of Qatar Steel around the region and for helping the company to successfully penetrate strategic markets. “Thanks to the Traders Annual Gathering that keeps us in constant touch with our dear traders.” Mr. Al-Ansari said.

“Our marketing policy reflects our determination to handle all the challenges of the future with rejuvenated vigor and energy and to renew our commitment to serve our customers with superior standards of services. Our vision signifies our ambitions and aspirations to be universally recognized as a leading and constantly growing force in the steel industry of the region”, Mr. Al-Ansari added.
