Qatar Steel is scheduled for a ResponisbleSteel Stage 2 Audit with UK CARES from 3rd August 2025 to 14th August 2025. The ResponsibleSteel International Production Standard is a robust framework aimed at promoting responsible practices in the steel industry. It encompasses 13 Principles and over 500 requirements, addressing key sustainability challenges such as decarbonization, climate change mitigation, labor rights, human rights, Occupational Health & Safety, water management, biodiversity conservation, and other critical aspects of sustainable steel production. Qatar Steel has a tradition of recognizing the contribution and devotion of employees by rewarding them with a Long Service Award. This year’s retiring employee, Mr. Narayanan Sukumaran, was awarded with the certificate of appreciation given by Qatar Steel MD & CEO.
