MR. ABDULRAHMAN ALI A AL-ABDULLA


Managing Director & CEO

Mr. Abdulrahman Ali A Al-Abdulla holds a Bachelor degree in Science and Business Administration (major in Marketing) from University of Denver Colorado, USA in 1992.

Mr. Al-Abdulla brings a wealth of experience, cumulated over twenty eight (28) years of services in Qatar Petroleum (QP) and QP affiliates.

He started his career with Qatar Petroleum in 1992. Then he devoted a short span of time in QAFAC as Commercial and Shipping Manager.

Mr. Al-Abdulla became QAPCO Chief Executive Officer, Global Marketing Network in 2000 and Group Manager, Commercial and Marketing in 2005, where Marketing Department was established and global marketing network and logistic services were set to serve over 3000 customers in over 130 countries.

Mr. Al-Abdulla was appointed as Project Director to establish Muntajat in 2012 which included coordinating on all commercial and legal matters and then as Chief Executive Officer and Director in the Board of Directors of Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company Q.J.S.C. (Muntajat) in 2012.

He has exerted major roles and involvement in commercial, marketing and strategy for production of QAPCO (LDPE), Qatofin (LLDPE), QVC (EDC, VCM and caustic soda), QChem polymer and Qatar Steel production ; Organic and progressive growth in revenues and quantities to $8 billion and 16MMT (2019) as a result of leading multiple strategies.

Mr. Al-Abdulla multiple roles in various organizations at varying levels has given him invaluable direction to spearhead business. Consistent with his commitment to contribute to the community and to the business sector in Qatar, he is serving as Board member of Qatar Academy (Al-Wakra) as a social responsibility and an active member of the Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA) on various committees.

In October 2020, he was appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Steel Company starting from 1st January, 2021.
