On 6th November 2020 Qatar Steel celebrated the completion of 12 months period without a single Lost Time Injury amongst its workforce, including contractors’ employees. This distinct milestone of having an LTIFR of 0 (ZERO) is achieved first time in Qatar Steel, and only a first step on its journey towards Safety Excellence. The company also recorded a never achieved before landmark of working 10 million man-hours without a Lost Time Injury during the first week of November 2020. These hours were accumulated since last Contractor LTI and Qatar Steel LTI respectively.
